Ingredients

  • 1 cup Powdered Almonds
  • 1 cup Coconut flour
  • 1 cup Raw sugar
  • 1 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 1 pinch salt

Method

  1. Slow roast the powdered almonds and coconut flour until you get a nutty aroma.
  2. Take the sugar in a pan. Add 2 tablespoons of water and bring it to boil.
  3. Mix in the roasted almond and coconut flour.
  4. Continue to stir until it all starts to come together.
  5. Add the cardamom powder and generous pinch of salt
  6. Take it off the stove and dump them into a plate.
  7. When they are cool enough to handle, knead it well and make lemon sized balls.
  8. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can make them with whole almonds. Roast them first and then powder them.
  • If you want to add some cashews or raisins, feel free to do so.
  • You can replace the raw sugar with brown or white sugar or even palm sugar/jaggery.
  • Instead of coconut flour, you can also use freshly grated or dried coconut.
  • When you take the dough off the stove, don't let it cool too much before shaping the balls. If you do, the balls will crack.
